HASCO makes Draft Agency Plan available for public comment

HASCO is currently seeking public comment on its draft 2012 Public Housing Agency Plan updated during a 45-day review period which runs from January 28, 2012 to March 12, 2012.  The Agency Plan is a HUD requirement and outlines HASCO's goals and objectives for the coming year.  The Plan is also available for review at our office between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM on regular business days. 
 
To be considered for incorporation into the Plan, comments must be submitted in writing to Kristen Cane at 12625 4th Ave W, Suite 200, Everett, WA 98204 or kristen@hasco.org by 4:30 PM on March 12, 2012.
 
Comments can also be submitted at a public hearing on the Agency Plan update that will be held in the HASCO Board Room (12625 4th Ave W, Suite 200, Everett, WA 98204) on March 5, 2012 at 11 AM.

Snohomish County seeks resident feedback on housing discrimination

Snohomish County is in the process of gathering information on residents’ experiences finding housing and experiencing housing discrimination. This is part of a study called an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI) that is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  Snohomish County is inviting residents to take an online survey about your experiences.

Today, the Housing Authority of Snohomish County received 25 more housing vouchers to serve homeless veterans through the Veterans Assistance Supportive Housing Program.  U.S. Senator Patty Murray announced this funding award in her press release below.
